Greek and Roman Times

Apprentice:

Come prepared to spend the full day at Vanguard.  We will not have people go home after apprentice.
  • Finish "Archimedes and the Door of Science".  Come prepared to talk about it.
  • Watch the movie "My Fair Lady"
  • Create an Olympic event for the class.  We are having our first Olympics during class. Come prepared to participate (tennis shoes and jacket).  We will compete in all the events you create.  Have Fun, some examples are: bubblegum blowing, three legged race, egg races, memory with the notecards. Just remember your need to bring whatever supplies you need.  Feel free to make them mental not just physical.

  1. Drawing Textbook- the next 2 chapters.  Start at the beginning if you haven't started yet. Draw each pictures 8 times.  Cut out the best of each and put them on one page to hang on the wire
  2. Read Put a Cherry on Top 26-50 
  3. Answer 3 of  these questions.  Remember to put them in a safe place.
  • What can you remember from your baptism?
  • What Christmas memories do you have?
  • What are some Christmas traditions in your family?
  • What are your Halloween traditions?
  • What are your Thanksgiving Traditions?
  • What are you Easter Traditions?

Read 3 Aesops Fables and illustrate your favorite fable.

Research the symbolism of our  money.  Come ready to present on some of the symbols that you found interesting.
